* Release of KDE 6_25.12 for Slackware•••- PKGLIST updated with the list of available packages in this release (packages for slackware-current). - README updated. Thanks go out to LuckyCyborg for maintaining a fork of my 'ktown', during 2024 and 2025. He changed some things for the better and I have incorporated the useful bits into my tree. Improvements taken from LuckyCyborg's efforts: ---------------------------------------------- - Use /usr/libexec instead of defaulting to /usr/lib$LIBDIRSUFFIX/libexec - Use /etc/ instead of /etc/kde - Suffix the KF5 packages with '5' instead of '-5' - The split of KWin in X11 and Wayland parts - kfilemetadata5 patch - some modifications to cmake files (mostly cmake compatibility flags) STILL KF5 BASED: ---------------- kdegraphics-mobipocket (we build Qt5 and Qt6 support as long as we keep KF5) libkdcraw (we build Qt5 and Qt6 support as long as krita is KF5 based) krita (KF6 port in github) kdiagram5 (only needed for KF5-based calligraplan) calligraplan (KF6 port in github) krename (KF6 port in github) okteta (partly completed port to KF6 in github) kwayland-integration (to support 3rd-party Qt5 apps running in Wayland session) DOES NOT COMPILE: ----------------- Nothing. However kstars needs a 64bit kernel to compile the 32bit package, to avoid memory exhaustion.
