Slackware 14.2slackware-14.2
Thu Jun 30 20:26:57 UTC 2016
Slackware 14.2 x86_64 stable is released!
The long development cycle (the Linux community has lately been living in
"interesting times", as they say) is finally behind us, and we're proud to
announce the release of Slackware 14.2. The new release brings many updates
and modern tools, has switched from udev to eudev (no systemd), and adds
well over a hundred new packages to the system. Thanks to the team, the
upstream developers, the dedicated Slackware community, and everyone else
who pitched in to help make this release a reality.
The ISOs are off to be replicated, a 6 CD-ROM 32-bit set and a dual-sided
32-bit/64-bit x86/x86_64 DVD. Please consider supporting the Slackware
project by picking up a copy from store.slackware.com. We're taking
pre-orders now, and offer a discount if you sign up for a subscription.
Have fun! :-)

Including the latest popular software while retaining a sense of tradition, providing simplicity and ease of use alongside flexibility and power, Slackware brings the best of all worlds to the table. + +Originally developed by Linus Torvalds in 1991, the UNIX®-like Linux operating system now benefits from the contributions of millions of users and developers around the world. Slackware Linux provides new and experienced users alike with a fully-featured system, equipped to serve in any capacity from desktop workstation to machine-room server. Web, ftp, and email servers are ready to go out of the box, as are a wide selection of popular desktop environments. A full range of development tools, editors, and current libraries is included for users who wish to develop or compile additional software. + +Since its first beta release in April of 1993, the Slackware Linux Project has aimed at producing the most "UNIX-like" Linux distribution out there. Slackware complies with the published Linux standards, such as the Linux File System Standard. We have always considered simplicity and stability paramount, and as a result Slackware has become one of the most popular, stable, and friendly distributions available. + +See http://slackware.com/ for more information. diff --git a/source/xfce/libxfce4util/libxfce4util.SlackBuild b/source/xfce/libxfce4util/libxfce4util.SlackBuild index 8d19530dc..a7b107179 100755 --- a/source/xfce/libxfce4util/libxfce4util.SlackBuild +++ b/source/xfce/libxfce4util/libxfce4util.SlackBuild @@ -22,13 +22,13 @@ PKGNAM=libxfce4util VERSION=${VERSION:-$(echo $PKGNAM-*.tar.?z* | rev | cut -f 3- -d . | cut -f 1 -d - | rev)} -BUILD=${BUILD:-1} +BUILD=${BUILD:-2} # Automatically determine the architecture we're building on: MARCH=$( uname -m ) if [ -z "$ARCH" ]; then case "$MARCH" in - i?86) export ARCH=i486 ;; + i?86) export ARCH=i586 ;; armv7hl) export ARCH=$MARCH ;; arm*) export ARCH=arm ;; # Unless $ARCH is already set, use uname -m for all other archs: @@ -38,8 +38,8 @@ fi NUMJOBS=${NUMJOBS:--j6} -if [ "$ARCH" = "i486" ]; then - SLKCFLAGS="-O2 -march=i486 -mtune=i686" +if [ "$ARCH" = "i586" ]; then + SLKCFLAGS="-O2 -march=i586 -mtune=i686" LIBDIRSUFFIX="" elif [ "$ARCH" = "s390" ]; then SLKCFLAGS="-O2" diff --git a/source/xfce/libxfcegui4/libxfcegui4.SlackBuild b/source/xfce/libxfcegui4/libxfcegui4.SlackBuild deleted file mode 100755 index 8616491d3..000000000 --- a/source/xfce/libxfcegui4/libxfcegui4.SlackBuild +++ /dev/null @@ -1,135 +0,0 @@ -#!/bin/sh - -# Copyright 2012 Patrick J.
