* kde/plasma/plasma-browser-integration fixes...Move the data that's relevant for the Google Chrome/Chromium and Mozilla based browsers into the location where these browsers actually look for them. Eric Hameleers2018-06-204-2/+16
* Release of KDE 5_18.06_testing for Slackware....- PKGLIST updated with the list of available packages in this release (limited to 'testing' for slackware-current). - README updated. Eric Hameleers2018-06-172-0/+1233
* Do not yet apply the patch to kpat...This will be required in Applications 18.08 probably. Eric Hameleers2018-06-171-2/+2
* Update the deps for 'testing' branch...Testing receives Qt 5.11.0 and Plasma 5.13.0 Eric Hameleers2018-06-178-20/+666
* Updated 'testing' in preparation for June '18 release of Plasma 5.13 Eric Hameleers2018-06-13852-5803/+52981
* Prepare for the KDE 5_16.08_testing release for Slackware. Eric Hameleers2016-08-224-10/+15
* Add the xinitrc.kwayland script to plasma-workspace. Eric Hameleers2016-08-221-0/+3
* Define XDG_RUNTIME_DIR /run/user/$USER...This is possible now that the elogind package adds a rc.elogind script which executes in rc.local and creates the tmpfs directory "/run/user". Eric Hameleers2016-08-222-2/+2
* Clean up the baloo 4 package. Eric Hameleers2016-08-221-2/+7
* Custom cmake file for kjots....Its CMakeFiles does not include /usr/include/KF5/KTextWidgets Eric Hameleers2016-08-221-1/+23
* Custom cmake file for solid....A separate cmake file for solid is needed to append "-std=c99" to the CMAKE_C_FLAGS, because of a bug in flex-2.6.0 which generates a C code with C++-style comments. The bug has been fixed in flex 2.6.1 which is not yet a part of Slackware. Eric Hameleers2016-08-221-1/+28
* Try to make kwin_wayland work on the console....But I already realize that this is not the way (thanks to Martin Graesslin). When using an xinitrc script, X.Org has already started when kwin_wayland instantiates and therefore kwain will run as a nested window in the existing X server. Next attempt (also suggested by Martin Graesslin) is to run: export $(dbus-launch) startplasmacompositor to start only wayland, without X. Eric Hameleers2016-08-221-0/+32
* Applications: 16.08.0 adds packages, removes others and some new KF5 ports....New KF5 ports: - cervisia - kolourpaint Eric Hameleers2016-08-2212-8/+69
* deps: Qt5 updated to 5.7.0 and rebuilt packages depending on it....Updated: - qt5 Rebuilt against new qt5: - qt5-webkit - PyQt5 - sni-qt - qca-qt5 - qt-gstreamer - phonon - libdbusmenu-qt5 - polkit-qt5-1 - grantlee Original Slackware package rebuilt (to add Qt5 support): - poppler Eric Hameleers2016-08-2221-64/+360
* hack-font-ttf: new TrueType font required by Plasma developers....Hack is a typeface designed for writing source code. It expands upon the contributions of the Bitstream Vera & DejaVu projects. This fonts adds monospaced sets which are not provided by the Noto fonts. Eric Hameleers2016-08-225-0/+916
* Wayland: needs recompiled mesa, xorg-server and addition of elogind....- Slackware's mesa package was recompiled against wayland. - Slackware's xorg-server package was recompiled against wayland; note that this package obsoletes the original xorg-server-xephyr, xorg-server-xnest and xorg-server-xvfb packages because the new xorg-server package is all-in-one. - New package elogind is the systemd project's 'logind', extracted to be a standalone daemon (quite similar to the 'eudev' package we already have in Slackware). An implementation of the logind dbus protociol is required by kwin_wayland. At the moment, there is no other option than elogind until the ConsoleKit2 developers implement the protocol. * Release of KDE 5_16.07 for Slackware.KDE-5_16.075_16.07 Eric Hameleers2016-07-222-865/+800
* deps/libinput: added as a depedency for Qt5....Note that the 32bit package of qt5 was not yet compiled against it, but the 64bit qt5 package uses libinput as a dependency already. Eric Hameleers2016-07-225-0/+168
* deps/noto-font-ttf: fix the illegal package name....Its VERSION string contained dashes which is illegal according to the Slackware packagename spec. Eric Hameleers2016-07-221-8/+9
* Prepare for the KDE 5_16.07 release for Slackware. Eric Hameleers2016-07-212-2/+2
* kde/KDE.SlackBuild: take better care of packages whose names partially overlap. Eric Hameleers2016-07-211-5/+5
* kde-baseapps: define XDG_RUNTIME_DIR=/tmp/xdg-runtime-$USER...This environment variable will be required by future KWin. It already was complaining if the variable was not set. Temporarily (and for Slackware 14.2 which is immutable) the directory /tmp will be used for this, but ultimately the user directory needs to be created on a tmpfs like /run . This requires a change in Slackware itself which will have to be done in slackware-current as follows: -------- 8< ------------------------------------------------------- --- /etc/rc.d/rc.S.orig 2016-06-13 03:33:03.000000000 +0200 +++ /etc/rc.d/rc.S 2016-07-21 12:53:13.262043599 +0200 @@ -25,6 +25,9 @@ if ! grep -wq "tmpfs /run tmpfs" /proc/mounts ; then /sbin/mount -v -n -t tmpfs tmpfs /run -o mode=0755 fi + # Create toplevel directory for runtime session data: + mkdir -p /run/user + chmod 1777 /run/user fi # Load the loop device kernel module: -------- 8< ------------------------------------------------------- And the KDE profile script needs to be changed to: -------- 8< ------------------------------------------------------- --- source/5/kde/post-install/kde-baseapps/profile.d/kde.sh.org 2016-07-21 11:36:30.484407127 +0200 +++ source/5/kde/post-install/kde-baseapps/profile.d/kde.sh 2016-07-21 12:51:37.561789507 +0200 @@ -10,7 +10,7 @@ XDG_CONFIG_DIRS=/etc/xdg:/etc/kde/xdg fi if [ "$XDG_RUNTIME_DIR" = "" ]; then - XDG_RUNTIME_DIR=/tmp/xdg-runtime-$USER + XDG_RUNTIME_DIR=/run/user/$USER mkdir -p $XDG_RUNTIME_DIR chown $USER $XDG_RUNTIME_DIR chmod 700 $XDG_RUNTIME_DIR -------- 8< ------------------------------------------------------- Eric Hameleers2016-07-213-5/+18
* skanlite has been ported to KDE Frameworks 5 (KF5)....Moved from kde/kde4-extragear/ to kde/applications-extra/ Eric Hameleers2016-07-214-2/+2
* deps: updated for KDE 5_16.07 Eric Hameleers2016-07-2117-171/+53
* Release of KDE 5_16.06 for Slackware.KDE-5_16.065_16.06 Eric Hameleers2016-06-152-743/+743
* Prepare for the KDE 5_16.06 release for Slackware....Also, since the Plasma source tarballs are gpg-signed now (additional files with .sig extension) I had to filter those out in the SlackBuild. Eric Hameleers2016-06-153-5/+5
* Apply a last-minute patch to make plasma-workspace compile again....The source tarball for plasma-workspace was re-generated as 5.6.5.1 shortly after, so that this patch could be commented-out again. Eric Hameleers2016-06-152-0/+26
* Reset the BUILD numbers for the next release. Eric Hameleers2016-06-152-2/+0
* deps: updated for KDE 5_16.06...The packages for qt5 and qt5-webkit were both upgraded to 5.6.1. This is now the Plasma 5 minimum required version because of all the issues the developers had with 5.6.0. Remember, qt5 still depends on libxkbcommon. Eric Hameleers2016-06-155-13/+129
* Powerdevil: fix the broken (missing) suspend menu item....The file /etc/polkit-1/rules.d/10-enable-suspend.rules needs to be world-readable. When the file is not readable by world, an error will be logged to /var/log/secure about not being able to read the rules file and as a result it will not be applied by PolicyKit. Eric Hameleers2016-05-212-1/+2
* The 'freerdp' package should be a runtime dependency only....The source configuration process of KRDC searches for the xfreerdp binary and disables RDP support if the binary is not found. I do not call that a "run-time dependency". But since xfreerdp actually *is* a run-time dependency only, the SlackBuild will create a workaround. With this modification you can add the 'freerdp' package afterwards and RDP support will work out of the box without recompilation of 'krdc'. Eric Hameleers2016-05-182-1/+39
* Release of KDE 5_16.05 for Slackware.KDE-5_16.055_16.05 Eric Hameleers2016-05-182-762/+749
* Prepare for the KDE 5_16.05 release for Slackware. Eric Hameleers2016-05-182-2/+2
* Cosmetic update of the 'modularize' file due to moved submodules. Eric Hameleers2016-05-181-1/+1
* Two submodules moved to a different module....- khelpcenter moved from plasma to applications - kwayland moved from plasma to frameworks Eric Hameleers2016-05-183-3/+3
* SDDM user exists in Slackware now; create the homedirectory properly. Eric Hameleers2016-05-182-5/+7
* Disable upstream-applied patches. Eric Hameleers2016-05-183-4/+4
* Reset BUILD numbers for the next release. Eric Hameleers2016-05-183-3/+0
* DEPS: Recompiled 32bit packages for phonon, phonon-gstreamer and phonon-vlc....When they were compiled initially, I had not installed a Qt5 package and therefore the phonon packages could not pick up support for qt5. The new packages have been compiled in the presence of Qt5 so that the broken Powerdevil and NetworkManagement services work again. Eric Hameleers2016-05-023-5/+5
* Rebase the spectacle patch; the git patch did not cleanly apply using 'patch'. Eric Hameleers2016-05-021-14/+13
* Patch for kcoreaddons: a regression caused rand() to be not seeded....KRandom saw a regression in KCoreAddon's 5.21.0 release, which impacts a wide range of applications and use cases. Since the rand() was not seeded, the numbers generated were predictable, which is ugly in games and probably alarming for bluetooth pairing. Eric Hameleers2016-05-023-0/+33
* Patches for post Applications 16.04.0 bugs in kcalc and spectacle....spectacle: - fix broken HiDPI support. - fix broken rectangular image capture on Nvidia GPU. kcalc: - Fix issue where kcalc has a zero-sized window and appears not to start. Eric Hameleers2016-05-017-0/+110
* Release of KDE 5_16.04 for Slackware.KDE-5_16.045_16.04 Eric Hameleers2016-04-212-753/+821
* Temporary packages were added to 'plasma-extra', can be removed now....With the release of Plasma 5.6 and Applications 16.04: - kactivitymanagerd moved to Plasma - kactivities-workspace code was absorbed in Plasma (plasma-desktop) and Applications (kio-extras) packages. Eric Hameleers2016-04-203-8/+2
* Three more applications were ported to KDE Frameworks 5....The symlinks appear not to be necessary, their cmake scripts are smart enough so this update can be seen as documenting the fact. Eric Hameleers2016-04-203-0/+3
* Prepare for the KDE 5_16.04 release for Slackware. Eric Hameleers2016-04-203-2/+3
* Refresh the patches (some of them are no longer needed). Eric Hameleers2016-04-205-5/+5
* Breeze theme for GRUB is not built by default; but allow the user to build it. Eric Hameleers2016-04-201-0/+3
* Powerdevil needs a new polkit rules file to bring back suspend/hibernate. Eric Hameleers2016-04-203-0/+15
* Update the module definitions, add the new packages to the build order. Eric Hameleers2016-04-207-6/+51
